baby Rylee | Esther Pederson Photography

August 29th, 2014

Last week I got to visit with this sweet newborn and his parents, Kevin and Angelina. Rylee is precious and such a good baby. Even past his 2 week mark (the initial 2 weeks after being born is ideal for photographing newborns), he was the perfect sleepy newborn, complete with baby smiles. I loved holding him and molding him to get those cute shots Mom and Dad always love. I hope he visits me again, I loved having him in front of my camera. blog1

Sweet Marcella | Esther Pederson Photography

June 19th, 2013

I love my clients, and I’m so happy when I get to shoot them more than once. This was my second time around with the Pitt family, the first time was when now big sister Miss Shylah was a newborn. Since then, they’ve added sweet Marcella to the family, and she couldn’t be any cuter! I still think Shylah had the best hair at this stage, but hey, who’s comparing! We took these right on Cella’s two week birthday. I see so many similarities between the two, when I look back at Shylah’s newborn photos. I’m glad to have been part of your family’s exciting arrivals and look forward to watching the girlies grow! Lets plan a family session next….on Nome’s beautiful tundra!

little miss kierra rae | Esther Pederson Photography

June 30th, 2011

I met up with Trisha and her beautiful baby girl yesterday for some newborn photos. What a treat! I know I’ve said this before, but seriously, Kierra is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen. At 11 days new, everything about her was perfect. Her little lips and fingers, her full head of hair with natural highlights and her creamy skin. What a cutie! Once she was nice and comfy and sleepy I got to play with her and got so many wonderful shots. Enjoy the sneak peak Trisha and Ray. But most of all, enjoy Kierra’s sweet newness while it lasts!

miss shylah | Esther Pederson Photography

May 7th, 2011

At 12 days new, sweet miss Shylah came over for her baby glamour shots. Such a sweetie and gorgeous too. Of course the first thing you notice is her amazing hair. I mean, to make your world debut looking like that is just fabulous. Those long locks with natural hi-lites…any woman would pay big bucks for hair like that. :) Nathan and Aprille are so in love their little angel and will no doubt be great parents. Thanks to my friend Mori, Shylah got to catch some zz’s in a sweet little bed that worked out perfectly. Enjoy the preview guys, and thanks for stopping in. It was great to see you again and meet little S.

meet Rowan…my sweet nephew | Esther Pederson Photography

April 28th, 2011

How lucky for me to have a sister and brother-in-law who make the cutest babies. How lucky for me to live just a few houses up, and have the opportunity to photograph their precious new addition. Meet Rowan James. First off, his name simply rocks. I love it, and it matches his hansome face perfectly. He is little. He is sweet. He is beautiful. Rowan was awake for the first few minutes of our session, but just like magic, he was asleep and a wonderful model for the rest of the session. I got to try out a few of my baby props I had never used before, and use ideas that have been planted in my head but never used on an actual newborn. Lets face it, Nome just isn’t the prime location for newborn photography. I’m lucky if I get one per year. Anyway, enough about that. Meet my precious baby nephew…isn’t he sweet? I’m looking forward to taking many more photos of this little munchkin this summer!

baby logan | Esther Pederson Photography

November 26th, 2010

Before becomming a Mom, holding a new baby was something I did not look forward to. It was stressful, akward, and it always seemed like the baby knew I wasn’t a Mom and cried as soon as soon as they were put in my arms. (You hear me people?) Fast forward that a few years, and a few things have changed. My two babies aern’t babies anymore. They can run and talk and will only sit still for a few minutes at a time. And now, whenever I get a chance to hold or smell a newborn, it is always a priviledge, and I walk away wanting another one of my own. It never fails! I love babies. Meeting and holding baby Logan was no different. This little guy was born 4 hours past my birthday. Everyone was hoping he would make his entrance a little earlier so we could officially be birthday buddies. I guess you could say that he arrived fashionably late and on his own schedule! Our two families are close so I will get to watch Logan as he grows up–another priviledge. Thank you Sweetie for coming to visit me and letting me preserve this little snippet of time for your little boy. Enjoy this stage, because it is true what everyone says….they grow up way too fast.

family of three | Esther Pederson Photography

October 1st, 2010

Just when I thought portrait season was coming to a close, I am still getting calls and emails from people wanting to get their sessions in before winter. I don’t mind! The colors are still beautiful and with no snow on the ground, the possibilities are limitless. I met up with this cute family last night for their family session. Everytime I see parents who are in love with their kids, it makes me so happy. Well from what I saw, Raenelle and Tre certainly are. Their little angel is now three months old and just a little replica of her daddy! What a cutie. They loved her and smiled and treated her like the princess she most definetely is. They were all so natural in front of the camera, which made my job a breeze. Thanks for the fun evening guys. Enjoy your little preview of images and I’m looking forward to showing you all the rest….yes, there are more. Many more to come.

sweet baby Sadie | Esther Pederson Photography

July 29th, 2010

Remember this gorgeous mama from her maternity session back in May? I met up with her again yesterday to photograph her sweet baby Sadie. She is just 9 days old. But add on to that the two weeks she was overdue in her Mama’s tummy, and I guess you could say she was already 23 days old! She is quite the little chunker and oh sooo beautiful with all that dark hair. It was so nice to hold a baby again, and enjoy the newness. She wasn’t much up for the glam shots, and enjoyed being snuggly in her mama’s arms instead, but we did manage to capture her sweetness for a few beautiful memories for mom and dad. Enjoy Tara and Loren. You both make wonderful, loving parents!

x2 | Esther Pederson Photography

This was my first session with twins, and they happen to belong to my cousin Don and his wife Fei. My heart melted when I first saw and held them, and to get the chance to photograph them, I could not have been in a better place at a better time! It was amazing to work with two little ones who love to be close to each other naturally. It was almost easier to work with both together than one at a time. Funny huh? These two were 3 weeks old when I spent the day with them, although they were born about 5 weeks early. So, they were still very much in their sleepy newborn stage, and oh so tiny. Katelyn, who was born first (this is going to be a big deal when they get older! HAHA), was not quite 5 lbs and Kadyn was not quite 7 lbs as you see them here. Thank you both Don and Fei for letting me play and capture these images that I know you will cherish forever. HUG those babies for me one more time.

This sweet angel was definetely sent from heaven. Beautiful and perfect. I got to photograph her at 19 days old. While she wasn’t up to some of my usual poses, she took to just laying there and being cute, pretty good! I’m lucky because this sweetie is my neighbor and I get to watch her grow and blossom into a toddler, girl, and eventually a lovely young lady. Thank you Nikki and Paul for allowing me to capture pure cuteness in your baby girl. Like everyone says, they don’t stay this little for long. Enjoy her!
