This has got to be one of my favorite sessions ever. First off, I had a beautiful model! Kallie was up for whatever, and even had some ideas of her own. She rocked her outfits, and has a gorgeous smile! Plus she has an iPhone 4….I mean come on! That in itself is fabulous.
I kept yelling out “Beautiful!!” “Oh my gosh!” “Amazing!” lol. I’m sure she thought I was crazy at some point for yelling random words out at her! But how could I help it. I love love love all the images we got Kallie! Thanks for all your patience and understanding with some of my ideas. You were great! Enjoy your sneak peak. xo.

July 17, 2010twice is nice | Esther Pederson Photography
May 18, 2010I met up with McKenzie yesterday. This was our second session together, and we had a blast! It was great to connect with her again and see what she’s been up to this past year. She graduates in less than 2 weeks from high school, and I couldn’t be more excited for her! McKenzie also brought along the best prop ever, her new puppy, “Bo”! He was the cutest and most rambunctious 3 month old I’ve ever met! lol! It was sweet to capture some images for her and “Bo” as I know this puppy won’t stay small for long. Thanks again McKenzie for a fun evening, and for putting up with my crazy ideas once again! I can’t wait to shoot part II! Enjoy.

Susanna…2010 senior | Esther Pederson Photography
April 27, 2010Another Nome senior! This time, Susanna, who is not only absolutely gorgeous, but talented, easy going and fun too. As a matter of fact, so much so that I totally got carried away and ended up taking 650 photos! lol. We had such a blast driving around our little town doing these. Finding little spots here and there. Cars would pass us by and people would stare and sometimes wave. I told Susie that people must think she was famous!! I think she could be with all the talent and beauty God gave her. Anyway, here is just a glimpse of what we did yesterday. Thanks for all your patience with me Susie, and I hope you love your senior pictures!

Derek…2010 senior | Esther Pederson Photography
April 22, 2010Is it just me or are seniors now a days getting more beautiful and hansome and grown up looking? Well, add Derek to that list! On top of good looks, he has the brain and brawn too. He is an accomplished athlete in multi-sports in our region and state, with his best performance in wrestling. I think if he takes on life as he has done already he will be quite a success as a young adult. You were a great model Derek and thanks for being so willing with everything I asked! I hope you like the sneak peak and I wish you the best of luck next year at UAF! Go Nanooks!

Kevin…2010 senior | Esther Pederson Photography
April 21, 2010It’s hard to believe that when I first met Kevin he was only 7 years old. And now he is already a senior in high school and about to turn 18! Wow, am I getting old or what? Kevin is my husbands nephew and we are so proud of him and his accomplishments so far. Our session was cut short but I think we managed to get a few keepers in there. I found out that he has some gorgeous eyes that I didn’t even notice before! Here are a few from our time together. Hope you like them Kev! Have fun the rest of your year we all wish you the best of luck in your dreams for the future.

Sierra…2010 senior | Esther Pederson Photography
April 9, 2010Meet Sierra. I usually don’t go into a session not knowing the person I’m photographing, since we live in such a small town, but I had never met Sierra before. Well, it was great to say the least. With her younger sister there with us, we had fun laughing and from that came some awesome shots! I also got to know a little more about her. And it was after I had her stand on a tiny ledge a few feet above the ground (I won’t say how high!) that I found out she was afraid of heights! Sorry Sierra! You handled it like a pro though, I didn’t even notice!
We have quite a few things in common actually. Her favorite food is sushi, as is one of my favorites. And her favorite color is yellow, which was my favorite color when I was in high school. I wish you the best of luck in your college career, Sierra. If not nursing, I hope you find something you are truly passionate about and always believe in yourself because I know you were meant for great things. Enjoy the rest of your high school days. 2010!
I *love* this one. I have total eye envy!
Hilary…2010 senior | Esther Pederson Photography
March 27, 2010Spring is springing and all the high school seniors are coming out of hibernation! Yep, it’s that time of year again. Graduation is upon us, and I get the joy of photographing some awesome seniors in the coming weeks. Hilary was my first of the spring, and I could not stop gushing over how beautiful she looked. We hit up some cool locations and to my delight Hil was up for anything. A couple of her friends tagged along so we shared ideas and laughed together and just had a fun evening being girls. These are just a few of…..oh maybe 500 images I took. lol. I could not stop snapping because there were a million ideas running through my head and the smiles were never ending. Because of that I have made my job harder of narrowing down a few proofs, but its totally worth it! I hope you love what you see and I CANNOT wait to show you the rest Hilary! Enjoy the final weeks of your senior year and the best of luck with whatever the future brings you! We’ll definetely miss seeing you on the basketball court next year. <3

senior announcements | Esther Pederson Photography
February 3, 2010I just wanted to share some of the announcements I’ve been making for some awesome seniors this year. These are both 5×7 double sided, and as you can see, full of personality. These are sure to impress your friends and family, and so much more fun than the traditional graduation announcements. Thanks for letting me be part of your senior year guys. It’s not too late to book a session this school year, so please contact me if you would like to meet and we’ll make something happen!
Mason…2010 senior | Esther Pederson Photography
October 29, 2009Photographing Mason was a blast. Who ever said photographing senior boys was a pain anyway? We had so much fun together, and it felt like we were old buddies, just joking around with each other. He always had a smile on his face, and I even had to yell at him to “look serious, or else!” haha. Mason better get the best smile award in his class this year too, because just look at it, he really has a great smile, and it’s so contagious too! The last shot was Mason’s awesome idea and inspired by the famous chalk throw by NBA great Lebron James. If you ask me, I think Mason’s version is much better, not to mention creative! Thanks for the fun evening Mason, and I cannot wait to show you the rest of your photos.

Steffen…2010 senior | Esther Pederson Photography
October 23, 2009Even though we almost froze during our session, I had such a blast with Steffen. He was a great sport and I *almost* felt guilty shooting him while wearing my puffy down jacket and hat.
It was a great change of pace, and how can you not enjoy a session with a guy that photographs so well! I couldn’t wait to get home to edit a couple for the blog. Enjoy the sneak peak Steffen, and I look forward to showing you the rest very soon!
