When I see these photos my heart just melts because she really is my best girl. I love her so much! (P.S. Fruit snacks are the best invention ever….they really do have a way with this girl!!) But really, she was just as cute as ever and even tried her own poses. Silly girl. I wanted her to have a special day to document just how fast she is growing. Today she was talking about wanting to go to her school and was deciding on what to put in her backpack. She saw the bus today and asked if she could ride in one to school. *sigh* Before I know it she will be heading off to school, and boy, am I going to have a hard time letting her go! She is my constant companion. We laugh together, and sometimes cry together. We give hugs and kisses, and yes we have bad moments, but it doesn’t take long before we are rolling on the floor again laughing and playing tickle fight. She is a breath of fresh air that just makes my life so very rich. Guess what Sienna? I love you!

While on our way to camp a couple weekends ago I saw this, and knew I HAD to stop to take a photo. Here’s why I like this photo. #1, the many different layers: I really like like how layers can add to a photo. #2, the different shades of the mountains and how you can’t see detail, it’s so soft, just an outline, simple and clean. #3, the bird, a crane. It was all alone out here, and it just evoked a quiet beauty. It was so peaceful in this big open area. #4, land and water, the combination of the two is just right. I also added a vintage and feeling blue action from Ginnie J Photography. Thanks Ginnie! Enjoy the day and have a wonderful week everyone!

I have been overwhelmed lately at how many photos I’ve taken and not processed. I almost feel like I have to post a million photos to show what I’ve been up to. But this very thought has stopped me from posting on a regular basis. It’s pressure that I hate feeling right now. So, in light of posting more, I wanted to show this, a simple photo that might not mean much but is one of my favorites I’ve taken in the past few weeks. This photo I took a couple weekends ago, and I instantly loved it SOOC. I knew I had to play with it to make it even more special. I’ve realized that it means more to post even just one photo on a more regular basis, than to have a massive explosion of photos over a 1-2 week period. It’s easier and more interesting, and less stressful, and yeah. I’m going to start doing this. I feel good about it, and I will start doing this more often. *BIG sigh of relief* I got that over with! Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

I met up with an old high school friend last week and had a fun session with her two kids! Boy, what a couple bundles of energy they were, keeping me on my toes! They expressed the cutest faces though, and had the most sparkling eyes! I so enjoyed my time getting to know them, and it was great to chat with my friend Flossie again. Next time we will have to get the whole family together Floss! Thanks for visiting us while you were here in Nome, and I’m glad you had a trip full of good weather and lots of outings. Enjoy your sneak peak, and I’ll have your proofs ready for viewing in just a couple days.

I had the priviledge of photographing my beautiful friend Debbie before her little one’s debut! My goodness, she is glowing and gorgeous and *almost* made me immediately want to have another. I think pregnant women are beautiful and these photos are proof. Definite proof. It was a fun session. We almost had to cancel due to extreme smoke in the area from wildfires that are burning inland. She agreed to go ahead with it, like a trooper. As the smoke was beginning to clear, the mosquitos decided to show up. Armies of mosquitos. Sorry Deb! Thank you a million times over for such a fun session. We need to get together more often, I’ve decided. I absolutely cannot wait until your little peanut arrives. You and Lahka are going to be such wonderful loving parents. Congratulations! Love you and enjoy your sneak peak!
