fall colors | Esther Pederson Photography

September 26th, 2009

Fall is definetely in the air. The air is crisp, the colors have changed, and leaves are falling off the bushes. We’ve seen snow in the hills and frost on our windshields. Winter is coming…fast. Does that make me sad? Yes and no. I’m in a way ready for winter, but will miss the trips to the beach, the many photo opportunities summer has given me, and of course camp and driving out into the country.

three’s company | Esther Pederson Photography

September 22nd, 2009

I got to hang out with another cute family last night, as the wind was blowing, and the temperatures were dropping. But they were such good sports about it all. It was fun to watch Mom and Dad interact with their little one, who at 7 months, is the cutest chubber ever! I was able to witness the love they share for her and each other, which is one of the most beautiful things ever. Thank you Darcy and Ed for your company last night. Your little princess is….well..beautiful! Enjoy this little sneak preview. There’s more to come, soon!

McKenzie…2010 senior | Esther Pederson Photography

September 21st, 2009

Wow. To be young and gorgeous! I loved working with McKenzie, who is just a natural beauty. I got so many good photos, its going to be hard to pick and choose which ones to edit! Enjoy your sneak peak Kenzie, but most of all, enjoy and good luck in your last year of high school. I’ll let you know when proofs are ready!

One | Esther Pederson Photography

September 17th, 2009

This photoshoot was bittersweet for me. I had the privilege of shooting this beautiful girl when she was a newborn, and now she is already one. My how time flies! She is just as sweet as the day I met her, maybe even more so! I felt like I wanted just “one more shot” of her because she is so cute and photogenic! What a blast and so fun to hang out with these girls again. (I also shot her older sister). I’m glad we finally got together Sandy, and it worked out perfectly. I’m realizing we need to do this more often! YAY! Hugs to those girlies for me, and I’ll let you know when the rest of the photos are ready for proofing. Happy Birthday Cass! xo.

Family of {3} | Esther Pederson Photography

September 15th, 2009

This fun couple recently added a sweet baby girl to their family, and they asked me to do their family photos. What a fun session, trying to entertain little Miss A! While she wasn’t at all impressed with any of my tactics, at least she gave me some eye contact. Babies around this age are generally harder to photograph for a few reasons, but this cutie gave me a few fabulous shots I think her Mommy and Daddy will love! Thank you again for such a fun session Erin and Andrew, and enjoy your sneak peak. I’ll let you know when proofs are ready for viewing.

Wellness Festival | Esther Pederson Photography

September 11th, 2009

I’m finally getting around to blogging some photos from the festival I shot a few weeks back. It was a 3 day event, in which the community was invited to attend seminars and events put on by Nome Eskimo Community. The 3rd day was a big potluck with performances by local and non-local musicians, dancers, etc. It was grand, to say the least! What a great experience to be involved in, and I hope my photos reflected what a success it was.

beach day… | Esther Pederson Photography

September 10th, 2009

…which is to be resumed as soon as naps are over with! With such a beautiful day on our hands, why not make it a beach evening with hot dogs and all! It is 54 degrees today, which feels warm for this time of year. So warm in fact, both kiddies wanted to swim. I’m a push over, I let them both get wet, and it was so worth it! Here’s a couple from our little outing this afternoon.

peekaboo | Esther Pederson Photography

September 6th, 2009

I get this a LOT when I point my camera in her direction. Sometimes it’s funny and cute. This time happened to be REALLY cute so I had to share what a funny girl she is. She keeps me feeling young, and I love that.

beautiful flower | Esther Pederson Photography

September 5th, 2009

I love the song “Beautiful Flower” by India Arie. If you haven’t listened to it, you should. You just might like it too. I took this photo at our state fair last Monday. The flower gardens were my favorite stop. The smells, the colors, the textures. It was sensory heaven. Have a wonderful 3 day weekend everyone!

sweet baby boy | Esther Pederson Photography

September 4th, 2009

I invited my friend over last week for a visit/mini-session with her little guy. You may remember her, whose maternity I shot last month. Well, it was fabulous to hold such a tiny baby again. I think all parents with children forget just how tiny they once were. I loved cuddling with her little Granite; what a sweet baby! We didn’t have much time, as I flew out of town that night, but we did get some precious memories captured. Thank you Debbie for letting me play! Congratulations again to you and Lahka. He is perfect.
