Benjamin…senior 2015 | Esther Pederson Photography

May 13th, 2015

I love repeat clients. It reassures me that the work that I produce makes others happy. I’ve known this family for a lot of years. First of all, the Dad of this family is the Pastor of our church here in Nome. Second of all, they are an amazing caring family. And third of all, I’ve photographed a couple of their other kids who have since graduated from high school and also their new Bed & Breakfast, Angel Camp by the Sea, which is a wonderful retreat by the Bering Sea. It’s fun to watch a family grow up, but at the same time, it’s bittersweet to see each one leave the nest to start their adult lives. This is Ben, he is the second to youngest of 8 siblings. EIGHT! And with the youngest one left in the nest I know the parents must be thinking, it’s getting way too quiet around here! I know they are proud of every single one of their children and Ben is no different. He has plans to attend college in Kentucky and study media communications. Best wishes Ben, as you get ready to spread your wings. I had a lot of fun with you and Mary, and thank you for trying just about everything I asked…you were a natural!

Lacy…senior 2015 | Esther Pederson Photography

April 30th, 2015

What a ball of sunshine! Lacy is truly one of those people who make you smile, she is fun to be around and her happiness is contagious. I’m so proud for her, as she is approaching her graduation day. I know it’s always hard to finish strong when you have so many other things on your mind like summer, college, friends, prom, boys, 😉 scholarship applications, jobs, and just plain spring! And with our days getting longer and brighter it certainly is hard to stay on track with anything. But she is taking it strong to the end, and with senior photos finally out of the way she can breathe a little easier! It was a bright one, as our days in Nome have been full of sun and with snow still on the ground, the reflection is super killer on the eyes. We powered through and Lacy was amazing, beautiful and so easy to work with. She calls herself a tomboy, but I personally think she could be a model….she is ridiculous. So flawless and the camera just loves her face! I think I even told her I wanted to squish her and take her home…haha!! Thanks for brightening my day Lacy! Enjoy your last month of school- I hope you love your little sneak peak as much as I do!
